Harmutty Tea Estate: 400 kWp Ground-Mounted Solar Plant

About the Harmutty Tea Estate, Assam project

The plant was jointly developed by Tata Power Solar, Goodricke ("The Tea People") and Sustvest, the same partners behind the Goodricke tea-estate solar plants at Koomber, Orangajuli and Borpatra. Arrays Ingenieria was the implementing partner for installation and commissioning, as the inauguration banner records.

The 400 kWp array stands on fixed ground-mounted structures beside the tea bushes near Harmutty Tea Factory, feeding an AC distribution board that connects the plant to the estate's supply. The earthing pits are numbered and tagged with their test date and measured resistance, as we do on every plant, so the estate team can keep up the annual tests.

The plant was inaugurated on 7 October 2026, a week after the Chief Minister of Assam opened our Koomber plant. The inauguration banner sets it in the national and state context: supporting India's Solar Mission, advancing the Prime Minister's Panchamrit goals and contributing to Assam's green-energy growth vision.

Goodricke then presented Arrays Ingenieria with a certificate of appreciation for the installation and commissioning, acknowledging the team's professionalism, technical expertise and commitment, and its dedication, engineering excellence and meticulous approach throughout the execution of the project.

Our scope of work

• Installation of the 400 kWp ground-mounted module mounting structures and modules
• DC cabling, inverters and the AC distribution board (ACDB)
• Earthing pits with tested and tagged resistance values
• Grid connection (on-grid) and testing
• Commissioning and handover for the inauguration on 7 October 2026
